If you look closely you will see one of the chimney stacks is being scaffolded.. This one was demolished by hand from the top downwards.. The other two were demolished with explosives
... now empty. Although the official HQ of the Woolwich had long since moved the Bexleyheath, there was still a lot of work being done in this building. But then they merged with Barclay's, and this building may well have fallen victim to having a Barclay's within spitting distance. Barclay's apparently had a policy of closing branches of the Woolwich within a certain distance of existing Barclay's branches.
It was never great, sadly it was perhaps at its best when polluted or detergent or colouring (which sadly hasn't happened since Woolwich lost its student population) and soon it will be gone.
